you know when you’re really into something, you talk faster, maybe it’s repetitive, and you hardly pause to take a breath? that’s what these words i wrote are—they are run-on sentences that made me excited…feel inspired…and a bit uncool.
to be uncool is to be the best version of your full authentic self without worrying if someone else perceives you as “cool.”
when we are the best, most authentic version of ourselves is when we do our best work, meet people that matter, discover and listen to music that we become obsessed with, and in a broad sense…live our best lives.
the last line from one of the above felt like it needed to be on this canvas and the process of this painting was inherently uncool (I didn’t plan a damn thing and did it somewhat impulsively).
not all of my work is that of a chaotic reckless abandon but when you’re ‘uncool,’ sometimes you just gotta start doing it.
