the process was tedious and time consuming but also kinda meditative in that it didn’t take much deep thought… just filling in sections with whatever colour i felt like. work like this is good to “use the paint i never use and want to get rid of.”

and i always paint the sides of my canvases—i see it as an extension of the canvas or can act as a frame so i don’t need to frame it.
