no, seriously. if i’ve done my job well, you won’t even see me and what i’ve done might look stupid simple.

[perception isn’t reality]

the best design is invisible; it’s only when something doesn’t work that you realize how much value good design brings.

if it’s done well, you can’t quite explain why you like it, but you do. my goal is to design stuff that people see or use so effortlessly that they forget it’s been designed at all.

[and yes i realize this is very anti-marketing on my end. i’ve always been a bit too honest, often to my own detriment. c’est la vie, i guess]
