art therapy colouring book series
vol 01, 02, 03

7x10 in

a colouring book series i started in 2025 as a way to use some black and white ink drawings i did in my spare time in the summer/fall 2024. these drawings were mostly done as art therapy/to relax my mind with some mindless and repetitive doodles.

the series is specifically made for the anxious minds, the over thinkers, neurodivergent, or anyone who just likes to partake in art therapy hobbies in their spare time.

limited print copies available; contact if interested

colouring has the ability to relax the fear centre of your brain; it induces the same state as meditating by reducing the thoughts of a restless mind and this generates mindfulness which allows your mind to slow down.

so then it is no surprise that anytime i am focused and deep into a creative project, my mind is so quiet i’ve yet to find a better alternative for quieting my mind.

it my not be a solution for everyone, but if one other person experiences this same mindfulness from these books, i’ll consider it a success.

vol 03: a colouring book for a better world: made for the community, by the community

*100% not for profit
fall 2025

this was a fun, collaborative community project where i put out a call for local artists of any age or experience level to submit an illustration for one page towards the project. i gathered all the submissions, did a handful of my own drawings, designed the book, printed a small run of 25, and sold out in a few days making a profit of $445 to go towards @7thgenrising. a second run is in the works and limited copies will soon be available at alt haus, nefelibata arts and crafts, and lucky bastard distillers in saskatoon.

not only was this project 100% not for profit for a group that organizes multiple mutual aid benefits for the community (meals, donations, etc), but it was also fun to create something with the help of multiple local artists and illustrators. each page was credited throughout, respectively.

vol 02: a colouring book for spiralling minds

spring/summer 2025

my second book was a slow process throughout most of the winter 2025 months (unlike the first one). i tried to do one drawing about every week, sometimes more or less, until i had 15. then i put them all into a book, wrote a poem or mini story for each one in one night with very little editing, and sent them to print just in time for spring/summer for a few art markets around town. i didn’t want to double side the book because the paper texture i liked isn’t that thick and i didn’t want to over think on the words (spiral) so the words just spilled out and i called it a day.

this one focuses on a lot of hand drawn lettering and is, perhaps, a bit more political. ;)

vol 01: a colouring book for busy minds

(redo/update in progress; only a few photos of the original shown below)
winter 2025

i started this one near the end of 2024 as a way to use some of the drawings as seen below and to share the art therapy mindless activity.

this was ~a process to figure out how to digitize the drawings on paper in a higher quality and eventually i decided to trace a photo of most of them on my iPad at the correct resolution and for consistency. i don’t have a scanner…but yes that would have been useful here. ;)

this was an experiment and work in progress for figuring out what size and paper quality i liked. i decided to run with one i was ~75% happy with and just do a new one.

a ‘100 days of drawing’ challenge I did as a passive, for-fun meditative art activity that started it all

sketchbook
ink pens

it was a lot of drawing of letters, plants, repetitive lines, and patterns…
