follow us on instagram at @artclubyxe to stay in the loop. our first official event is April 25 from 7-10PM.
about us
art club yxe was founded in early 2026 by a group of artists just wanting to make more art, together. not working on our own things side by side but actually building one thing, together.
this is a very grass roots non-profit initiative. we barely have a ‘brand,’ we don’t have our own website or special emails, and we have no plan at all. in fact, the “we” isn’t even anyone in particular. “we” are whoever wants in, whoever wants to have fun by making dope things together, and those that want to see more people making more art.
if that sounds chaotic, then good: chaos is exactly what “we” want.
-
anyone!
you don’t need to be a “professional” artist… you just need to like and want to make art. any age [some events may be 19+ and for all ages events, under 13 be accompanied by an adult], any experience level, any discipline.
we are 100% inclusive and have a zero tolerance policy for racism, ableism, homo/transphobia, bullies, etc. :)
-
attending is always free.
however, art supplies are never guaranteed to be supplied, so you’ll likely have to bring your own. if we make money off our work we may use that money to buy supplies for the next even and you’ll know in advance!
you can share your supplies if you want, but never have to. if you do bring stuff to share, do whatever you need to do to ensure you leave with it [label, communicate, etc]. if you leave something behind unlabelled, we’ll consider it as a donation to the club for the next event.
-
there is zero commitment from month to month, but each event will have a sign up form [at least a week prior, sometimes more] so we know how many whimsy creatives to expect at each event.
-
each month will bring a new event and new project and we are always open to ideas, suggestions, and donations.
each project is started and finished within one day but hours/times may vary.
-
finished work will either be donated or sold with the proceeds either being donated back to a community in need or spent on supplies for the next event.
-
of course! if you want to be part of this without actually making art or attending events, slide into our DMs [IG] or email malcloke.studio@gmail.com and we’ll find a way for you to get involved.
current donation needs:
